How to play Scorpion Solitaire
Try Scorpion Solitaire at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Use the example below to understand a decision. Read the objective before making your first input. Look at what changes after your first action.
Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.
A useful comparison
Compare the worked example with your own position. Use the reasoning, not an answer copied from a different board. Use the example to check your reasoning.
Your goal
Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. An attractive position is not enough unless the goal is met. Follow this game’s rules rather than another version’s.
Step by step
- Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
- Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
- Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
- Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.
Controls
Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Use the control method described here for this activity. Use one clear input at a time.
A useful example
The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Compare this with the rule that governs the move. Take a moment to compare.
Watch out for this
Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. After a move, check what changed. Decide which rule explains the new state before acting again.
